Arch. Nilly R. Harag: partner at Arctic Architects. Senior lecturer at the Architecture Department, Bezalel. MArch University of Pennsylvania with honors; BDes Bezalel Academy with honors; Recipient of research grants to National Technical University of Athens NTUA, Granada University; TU WIEN Architecture & Planning; Planning and the Freud Institute; Oslo School of Architecture AHO and Herzl Grant to the Center of Early Medieval Studies, Masaryk University, Brno. Visiting lecturer at Azrieli school, Carleton University; Architecture dep. Braunschweig University, Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'architecture de Paris Malaquais, University of Nicosia and National technical University of Athens NTUA. Her research and practice focus on contested areas characterized by social and political conflicts. She challenges the scope to imagine a space beyond the physical, unassailable boundaries of everyday life by tracing liminal spaces identified between the various fields of architecture. She looks at reality through liminal lenses, to make it possible to turn permanent situations into a material- subject for change, from an open space to sensory experience, analytical
thinking and a complete and visible architectural creation.
